I know it may never prevent them (stretch marks) however what do you use to rub all over ya body? I was using Palmers but my herbalist made me Belly Jelly it smells really good.

coconut oil
cocoa butter
kokum butter
red castor oil
carrot seed oil
aloe
vitamin e
essential oils

Hopefully this will last me longer and feel better then the Palmers

That sounds really good.

Really, so much of it is genetics, though. I got the most stretch marks with my 1st pregnancy, in which I didn't gain any weight (was below prepregnancy weight at delivery). And I've continued to accumulate more stretch marks with each pregnancy.

Mostly, I just try to keep my belly well moisturized, I KNOW that there's no magic cream that will prevent stretch marks for me.

I used a belly butter from a local herbalist with dd, I really liked it and will use it for the itching again this time around. I got lucky with dd, I didn't gain that much weight, and wasn't that big, I only got 2 marks the very week she was born. I don't see that happening this around, I've already gained weight and have a belly.

That Belly Jelly sounds really good!! I used Body Butter every day with pg#1 and no stretch marks. BUT neither my mom or my sister got stretch marks either (my mom always got huge and had 7 of us and my sister has 2). I think I got the good genes in that respect, but I think moisurizing can't hurt!!

I have some apricot oil on hand that I've been using as a moisturizer, so every so often I give my breasts and belly a little massage, trying (probably vainly) to get that skin pliant before my bulk tries to move into it.

I do have stretch marks from when I hit puberty and an adolescent overeating phase at the same time, so I'm not too optimistic that I'll avoid them during these changes.
