Anyone dealing with a blood disorder to take lovenox or heparin during the pregnancy?
I'm in my 38th week and have switched to heparin.
I'm factor V leiden.
The lovenox was fine, but this heparin is really something to deal with.
The lovenox was prefilled. The heparin I have to fill the syringe.
I feel like a junkie

I also am doing two shots a day now.
I'm going to call today. I was in yesterday to the OB and mentioned how bad the itching is. He didn't say much.
Today I just don't think I can take it.
I put calamine lotion on. it helps for about 5 minutes.
Any suggestions?

I've been on heparin twice a day since the day we found out (7wk). The first brand I was on caused huge red welts on my belly that lasted for days! Very painful and itchy. My RE said I was allergic to the components they used to dilute the heparin. I switched to another brand, and it went away. Definitely call your Dr. and let them know, and have them call in a RX for a different brand of hep.
