Hi everyone. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this....

My daughter goes to first grade next year. I am starting to think about her lunches. I do not want to pack plastic and I found this www.lunchbots.com . My only concern with these is that they are made in China. Is there an product like these that are made in the USA? Wood would work fine too.

I would think since they are stainless steel buying them from China would be ok. I bought Laptop Lunchboxes for my DD's and we love them.

Those look great to me! I have a couple stacking steel tiffins from India but dd complains her lunchbag is too heavy when I use one (plus a chiller pack). We have been using all kinds of fabric wraps, but I may have to give those a try.

Oh wow, I want those! I use the reusable plastic containers, sometimes wrapping the sandwich in paper first. But those look like a better idea.

I would definitely use them. I love that they have lids. I'm thinking of them for both of my kids snacks/lunches. Thanks for the tip!

I would caution against anything too expensive for a young schooler. Those things get left and lost sometimes and it looks like you would be out quite a bit of money.

They cost less too. You can also find stainless steel boxes at a local Asian grocery.

That is so funny. White bread, processed meat and what appears to be American style cheese food product, and they're concerned about what it's wrapped in? Also, all those ingredients come from the store in plastic, so what's another 4 hours in the lunchbox?

laughup So true! Just like when some women drink a cup of coffee when pregnant, but then dope themselves up with demoral and an epi! Doesn't make sense.
