Hi, I'm just really worried right now and need to post about it to see if I can get some help. I had a miscarriage yesterday and today I still have cramping pain in my lower belly and am still bleeding a bit, not much today though. I'm pretty sure I have a cold from my dd- my throat is sore and I have congestion, but I also have chills and a possible fever tonight, and I'm really scared about that. I'm scared that my body didn't complete the miscarriage (though I thought I did! No real way to know on my own..), and that I could get an infection. My dd broke the thermometer a couple weeks ago and so I don't even have one. But for the last hour I've definitely felt chills, and I never get chills, especially not with a cold. So I don't know what to do. Am I supposed to go see my OB? I won't be able to until next week, now. Is this something I would have to go to urgent care for? I just have no idea how to proceed. I wish I didn't have a cold, and maybe the chills are just from that...?! If anyone has gone through something like this, I would really love to hear about it... Thank you so much for any help. Call your OB. They will probably refer you to the ER though for an ultrasound.<br><br>

Our family's going to have an exciting friday night! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> I hope everything goes okay.. I suspect they'll take your temp, possibly some blood, do a vag exam to check for signs of infection and a transvag U/S to look for what they'll call "retained products of conception."<br>
Hang in there, mama. I think you're making the right choice to seek medical attention ASAP.

ANy update? I was thinking that it sounds like your miscarriage is incomplete, and that the fever might be coincidental. But, getting it checked out medically is definately wise.
