I juts ordered some maca for a combo of TTC reasons and boosting my mood. What are the results you've had physical or emotional with it? How much were you taking and how?

I'm definitely not an expert on maca and I'm sure there will be some other ladies who know more to reply to you as well. I got interested in it after reading a thread here on MDC about ladies who are using it to TTC.I've been taking maca for 3 months now. I take the pill form- from Amazon, Peruvian Naturals 800 mg each, 3 a day- 2 in the morning and 1 early afternoon. I used to take one at each meal but that kept me awake at night so I get them in earlier in the day. Some people buy the powder form- I think it would probably taste kinda malty if you like that taste. I don't so I spend a little more for the tablets.<br><br>
The results? My energy has gone "through the roof". I am very overweight (working on that too!) and the maca helps me keep going. I also struggle a bit with depression/melancholy and the maca improves my mood. That combined with a little caffeine helps me be a nicer person <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"><br><br>
Keep in mind that I've only been doing this for 2.5 cycles, but they are getting shorter and regulating somewhat. They used to be all over the place 45-60+ days/ovulation? what's that? Now the first 2 cycles have been 42 days and I got a positive OPK on Day 19 of this cycle. So my whole cycle should be less than 40 days this time(if I'm not pregnant). I think it's really helping balance my hormones.<br><br>
I just can't say enough how pleased I am with it.<br><br>
