Dh and I are considering Madrona school as a possiblity for our twice exceptional son next year. Does anyone have any information? Good, great, bad or ugly please!!!

We considered this school for DD when she was still quite young. They do require a personality test/assessment, however. This may or may not be an issue. For me, I decided not to go ahead with that b/c I was concerned about how such labels and results would affect me (in other words, all my own issue, lol). But it did seem like a really great place...

Well, O's already had a psych-ed assessment (privately, not school based) - is that what they were on about? They only have grades 4-7 now. Is it the same place or have they switched their demographic in the last couple of years?
Did you like what u saw otherwise?

Yes, I liked what I read about the place, though we never did go see it. If you've had the assessment done already than it should be easy for you to apply.

I think back when we were looking it was only grades 6 and 7, or something...I recall thinking it sucked that it was only for a couple of years.

I only did preliminary research so I'm not able to really give a thumbs up or down. I just like the sounds of the place. I liked that it was mixed age, and that kids were not stuck on some schedule of how they were to progress.
