Greetings! I would really like some help...
I bought a Maya Wrap to use with my first born and wound up only using it for a Kangaroo Carry when my daughter was a little older. I would have liked to have used it from the time she was an infant but I had a heck of a time trying to figure the darn thing out. Even when I did use the Kangaroo Carry I found that the wrap wasn't tight enough....my daughter kept "slipping" down further and further....(We eventually wound up using a Bjorn most of the time until she outgrew that)
I'm due in about two weeks and since it's summer would really like to give the carrier another go. I'm just so afraid of the same experience I had with my Maya....do any of you experienced slinging Mamas have advice for me? I was thinking about trying to sew a Mei Tei...they seem more user friendly than my Maya wrap....I'm reluctant to plunk down a sizeable chunk of change on another carrier unless I know that I can get a "handle" on it.
I'd appreciate any help....also if you could point me in the direction of some do it yourself instructional sites, I'd much appreciate that as well. Thank you in advance!!
