So my neighbors are out "drumming" on their porch rails with drumsticks..<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">: Its really really loud, and its too warm to shut the window. If they wake up my daughter, I am going to be kinda mad. Should I say something to them, or just let them be?

MY DS IS A DRUMMER (he's almost 3) He drums on everything, everyday, every moment. Singing to each beat, he is obsessed. I say let them drum. But, I hope your daughter, does not wake up. ugh, how frustrating. this happens every year on the last night of our vacation. the same huge group stays above us every year & the 2 adults (i'm guessing the kids all bring friends) go out for the night & the kids run WILD including drumming everything possible on the railings. it stresses me out thinking about it!<br><br>
I would say something, nicely, letting them know your dd is sleeping & please not wake her up.

I have very politely asked my very loud neighbors across the street to try and keep it down when my dd is sleeping. I want to ask them like every night, but I pick my battles. If she is having a hard time sleeping, and they are being obnouxiously loud, I ask. They have been really cool about it and never seemed mad or anything. If your neighbors seem like nice people, maybe you should give it a shot.

Oh, I'm so sorry. A group of kids in our neighborhood has a band, and they play in their garage a lot. The music is loud but pretty good. Most of the time I don't mind, but some days I remember that it would keep one of my little ones awake, and it was so frustrating!<br>
I don't think it would be wrong to ask them to keep it down while your dd sleeps, but I'm not sure it would help much. Worth trying, though?<br>
Maybe there is somewhere else, a little further from your window, where they can drum?
