I've been thinking of adding a wool puddle pad or liner to DS's crib for naps/bedtime, etc. Has anyone done this? Is it as simple as buying a piece of fabric and cutting it to desired size? Is it like fleece where you don't have to "finish" the edges? And would you get wool or lambswool?

And what about for the new babe coming in December? I suppose that I would have to be more careful about size and making sure that it's tucked tightly all around so that it doesn't bunch up? Of course, this assumes babe will sleep in crib now and then for naps...

I've got a 50% coupon for Joanne fabrics that is burning a hole in my bag.
