Making kombucha ...

I was wondering if anyone knew if you can use raw, store-bought kombucha to make your own? It has pieces of what I'd assume is the scoby in it. If not, does anyone have a scoby that they'd love to send me for some paypal (or milk kefir grains)?

It should work, IMHO. I know that you can take raw apple cider vinegar to make your own and that after brewing, you're supposed to get a mother of vinegar that you use to make the next batch of ACV. So if the kombucha is truely raw and there are pieces, I would imagine with enough brewing time, you should get a SCOBY.
