All right my son has offically turned me fifty shades of red. Normally this would not embarass me. I am a nurse after all. And I kinda believe in teaching him the real name of thnigs. And the differences between boys and girls... So we have had this conversation before. diaper time, or bath time. But this time out of the blue

he said this loud and clear when My FATHER was driving us home one day.....

Of all the people to make this declaration too...

TWICE...

then he said

Grandpa has a penis

If I could shrink into a crack in the floor

what do you say.... ?

I say "Yes, grandpa has a penis". I don't think the word penis is any different than the word nose. That being said, my FIL and my dad don't get embarassed by things like that and neither do I.

A friends son does this too. She just tells him you're correct and leaves it at that. Now a friends daughter will tell everyone her mama has a penis, which I find even more embarrising. I'm kinda happy my dd is still small, lol.

My dd can't put those thoughts into words yet, but when we bathe together she points at my vagina and laughs
I'm glad I'm not a guy...I might start getting a complex
