Anyone have tips on bettering your marathon? I need the most work on miles 14-20miles. I currently run a 3:19 marathon and want to be sub 3:15. My next marathon is in oct, so i have some time to work with my in between miles.

Also, i run in a very hot state and my marathon is in detroit. Any suggestions for preparing myself for when I run in the cold. I'm guessing it will be in the 40's by race time. Which is very cold to me.

Anyways, looking forward to hearing suggestions.

this would be a good question in the running thread.
have you read Pete Pfitzinger's "Advanced Marathoning" book? that might have some helpful info. good luck!
