Long story short, the vinegar ate the finish off my marble. How do I restore the finish, smoothness and shine? I'm not talking about a large area here, it's a small piece.
I looked for marble polish in the store, but didn't see any. If they sell such a thing where would I buy it?
HELP...

I think if it actually made its way through the finish the way to repair it is to have the area grinded/resurfaced.

We have terrazzo floors(which are made of marble) we recently had the entire floor diamond grinded. Before they did it there were many dull and acid pited spots.

There are several sources on the web for proper care of standard surfaces (tile, marble, grout, wood, etc). Certain substances can be used on each of these.

I can probably find some sources later and post them.
