Hi, all. I'm looking for a marble run for ds (and dh, lol) for Christmas. I would prefer no mic...so I found this:

http://www.constructiontoys.com/store/qrc-marblerun.php

Does anyone have this? Do they like it? Has it held up well? It is made in Italy, I believe. Should I be worried because it is plastic? Are there any other complex marble runs similar to the quadrilla that are not MIC?
Honestly, I would prefer wood, but I haven't been able to find something besides the quadrilla that dh likes and he doesn't want MIC. Any help?!

I just saw the marble works deluxe from discovery toys--I had this growing up. Does anyone know if they are still made in USA?

Ours is similar to this:

http://magiccabin.com/magiccabin/product.do?section_id=0&bc=1004&pgc=767&cmvalue=MC D|0|Normal%20Search%20Result|P1

You can add to it. It's pricey, but beautiful, and wooden. And made in the US.

I like it, but dh wants something similar to what he played with as a boy--the marble spins, you can add multiple marbles at the same time and you don't know which will win, ect, ect, ect...like the quadrilla...I want wooden but will take plastic if it's not mic and durable for husbands and 5 yr olds. Thanks!

We love our Discovery Toy sets. We got two of them on one birthday about 5 years ago. One new from my cousin and one old from a dear friend from when her boys were young. AND I scored one a couple of months ago at Goodwill!! I love that place! They are all still in great shape and it looks like they have more interesting parts than the one you posted.

I was looking at one called suspension marbles from highlights for my older kids for Christmas....maybe too complicated! www.toygarden.com

My kiddos have this jungle marble run. It's super fun to play with, and create new ways for the marble to go. I think my DH has more fun with it than the kids though!
