Hi everyone, just thought I'd start a new thread for the new month.

Here are a few updated pics from yesterday if you are intereseted. Karis is huge! http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EeGOHDNs5asJC

Happy summer!

I guess we've all made it past the "fourth trimester" huh?

Mamaroni, Karis looks very healthy! Good picture of you and your cubs! I haven't gone to michigan yet. that won't be til the end of this month. going to a wedding.

hope everyone came out well this past weekend. we had some bad storms, but not as bad as some states!

i have no idea how much Cali weighs. she's growing quite well, but i see her all the time so i take for granted that she's getting bigger. it's not until i wear for a good length of time that i realize she's increasing! i'll have to weigh her one day when i get access to a scale. i haven't done her footprints yet either, by the time i do them she's going to think she had big feet as a baby!

Hi mamas! Hope everyone is doing well..

My babe is getting huge too! It's so hard to believe! We just visited friends who just had a baby last week over the weekend and he seems so big in comparison and he's only like 12 weeks older! It's simply amazing to remember how tiny he was when he was born..

I think Dylan is starting to teethe..he drools like crazy and is putting everything in his mouth (ie;hands, feet, toys, blankets, etc). He's also discovered our 4 cats and loves to sit and watch them. so cute! He's such an easy baby too, I don't know how I got so lucky!

I'm just reposting my last post, becasue I doubt anyone will read it now that we have a new thread. And I need some commiseration.

ok, you all remember the episode at my ILs house on Mother's Day? Where I asked them not to have prescription drugs on the floor when we were coming over? Dh talked to his nutty mother today and she is still expecting an apology from me!! I'm supposed to apologize for what? asking them to protect my kids from poison? oooohhhh, I'm so mad, I had to vent. Thank you.

Jalen has decided he isn't all that into nursing (just the past few days, I'm not worried about it) and I am leaking like a faucet! I'm so wet!

Athena bit my cheek today, she was playing around, pretending to eat me and accidently got me for real. It really hurt, but I was ok. She was horrified, so hopefullly that qualifies as the end of biting, before it even really happened. Wishful thinking, huh?

Rebecca, ugh! I would be frustrated as well. we recently spent the weekend at my ILs and I specifically asked MIL to buy juice boxes without added sugar (of course I'd prefer NO juice boxes but that's another story) and what did she buy? Hi-C fruit punch. yuck. chan broke out wiht a really bad yeasty rash from all the sugar. she is so clueless. I can relate. Karis hasn't been nursing that much either. she'll easily go 10 hours at night, and 3-4 during the day. She is still sleeping a lot.

rainbowmoon...teething? wow. I think we're a long ways from that! I'm so glad dylan is a good baby! aren't they great?

dnr3301, vent all you want here! in laws can be annoying! i think that's how it's supposed to be. ever wonder what your children's spouse's will think of you and you of them? but....i'd bear down and try to make amends with your MIL. she is your children's grandma no matter how wacky she is. kill her with patience and be extra vigilant around her house. at times i get annoyed with my MIL and i stay away for awhile, but it's really not fair to my children. She's the only grandma they have. And they love her so much!!

Hi all! Ori has another cold . We all have it but it makes nursing really hard for him. I broke down today and gave him some decongestent so he can get a good feeding in. He seems really hungry but he gets so frusterated when he can't breath. Poor little man.

mamaroni-Karis is so cute! Ori is huge too...at least for a baby born from me! My dd was his size at 5 months.

rainbowmoon- your ds could be teething. My dd had all her front teeth by age 10months. Not something to wish for though. The longer they stay in the more enamel they have so since she began getting teeth at 2 months hers were so rotten by age three. She had nearly no enamel on them so no amount of brushing helped! She has a filling in every single baby tooth. Thank god her adult teeth seem to be doing much better. (Knock on wood)

dnr3301- Sorry about you wacky mil. Sounds like she is power tripping! Yuck!

Rebecca, I'm sorry about your MIL. That is just plain ridiculous. You just can't invite the little ones over if you want to have prescriptions drugs ( or anything like that) lying around. Can't she see that it's your responsibility to make sure your kids are in a safe environment? ugh! ugh! Sometimes I feel so lucky that I live so far away from my relatives.

Rainbowmoon, funny that you mention teething. I think dd might be an early teether too, some of the signs are there, and then I thought maybe it was too early, but maybe I'm not wrong after all.

She is 10 weeks old this week and it has all gone by too, too fast. Having said that, I am really enjoying the stage she is at now. Lots of cooing and smiling and playing with her hands in front of her face. I love sleeping with her at night and she feels perfect just draped over my shoulder. I have not had a lot of luck with any of our numerous slings so I just carry her around most of the time. She really likes it. Has anyone else had this trouble with slinging? I have heard that once they are holding their heads up well it gets easier to get them comfortable in there. I have to admit being a little disappointed though. I really wanted to sling this babe.

mamaroni, Karis is a MAJOR sweetie, just cute, cute, cute!

Bathroomgoddess, poor little Ori. I can really relate. My babe has been snuffly since she was born and now we both have some sort of summer cold and she is really suffering. Saline drops in the nose help temporarily, but it's hard to see them suffering, especially while trying to eat. Hope he is all better soon.

Enjoy those Spring babies mamas, as the summer kicks in!

Just wanted to make a quickie post...

We're all doing well, Suwannee is growing great like every babe here! So nice that all these little ones are making it into bigger ones, isn't it?

We're about to take a road trip, about 1100 miles it will be me, my sister, and my two girls. I think it will go well, though...Suwannee loves the car now that I have a mobile hanging above her, and Peri's always been a great traveler. But get this...their father will be "unavailable" to meet them/see them because he's going to New Zealand with his girlfriend, though he has yet to visit his newborn child (excuse: too expensive/no time) It hurts to be involved in any way with someone so misguided. And Peri is trying so hard to hold onto a memory of him, it's sad to know that he isn't helping her and doesn't seem to care. I hope that our divorce speeds along so he will officially be my "ex."

Hey mamas! I haven't posted much, the girls are keeping me on my toes. I have a few pictures here:
Pictures of Melissa
I had Melissa on March 1 so she's 3 months old today! And HUGE! She came in 2 lbs heavier than either of my other girls, and while they were in the 25th and 3rd precentile, she's in the 99th %ile or was at her 2 month check. She's almost wearing Mary's clothes! All on breastmilk.

I hope to post more around these parts, thanks!

Hi Meg! I didn't realize you were over here also. Melissa is so cute. I can't believe how big she is already - How much does she weigh?

Jster - sorry about your ex - I hope things are over with soon for your sake. I can't understand people who don't want to see their own children.

Mamaroni - Karis is adorable! I can't believe how big she is either.

As for us - Maribeth's chickenpox are drying up, Megan's still pretty sick though - lots of spots and a fever. BUT they both slept for 5 hours at the SAME time last night. I feel like a new person today. Sleep makes such a big difference.

Just wanted to send to Jster...poor Suwannee! But she's better off with a loving mom that isn't tied to such a jerk...

Everyone's babes are so big! I know Darian is the youngster of the group but he seems tiny in comparison sometimes...click on his name for recent pics.

My doggie is slowly wasting away from cancer and I haven't spent much time online (her pics are below too ), but I'm thinking of you all and hoping everyone is happy and healthy.

hi all
i love seeing the photos- have to figure out how to get some of ours on line- lee is doing great- she is a good sleeper, eater, talker- her temperament is so mellow- i hadn't realized how particular eve was- there were so many things big sister would not tolerate- it wasn't just new mother high responsiveness- lee was strapped into a car seat for 4 hrs. on fri...fascinating how difft. they are!
isn't it delicious? and yes absolutely exhausting! i feel as if it is going so fast and sadly like i'm missing it- it is slipping by- in l,ooking at the photos posted i thought hey i don't have pics. of that or that or that- i have no photos of nursing eve (which i did for a year and a half) and now i have no phots so far of nursing lee- must somehow catch up w/it all- i guess the demands of it all keep me busy- even w/ 14 hrs. of babysitting a week and an involved husband- must keep trying!
must go.
regards all!!

thanks for all the compliments on Karis. We sure think she's cute

I wanted to pop back in and say how cute Darian is, Rachel! I love the ones with the smile, the scrunchy forehead, etc. I love all that hair. my 2 yo barely has that much!

Cute boys Jaze! how big is Taurin now?

Gina, I agree, this is flying by so quickly. I try to remind myself of that daily!

Hi all! Sorry I've been MIA. I've come and read the thread so often, but get overwelmed and end up never posting. I'm bad.

I've been hanging out on the Diapering boards and the Diaper Trading Post so I can buy diapers and go back to the Diapering Boards and talk about the diaper I bought. LOL! Oh, what a crazy life!

I've loved loved loved looking at all these sweet baby pics! From belly to baby! This progression has been just amazing! Little Darian is sooo adorable! See, Rachel, you get the joy of having the littlest and therefore sweetest babe! Bebeluna -- I can't believe how big both your boys are getting! So cute! They have such similar features, but each is executed in such a different way. Meg, your little one is such a doll! How cute! And, Karis is sweet, sweet, sweet! (Did I miss anyone I hope not!)

Cheryl -- The chicken pox?!?!

Jster -- glad to hear that you're hanging in there and doing what you need to do for yourself. That's so important. Your daughters really are so blessed to have you for a mama.

Oceanone -- What kind of slings are you using? I find the ones without rails, I can easily keep her upright, facing me and tighten up the head region to keep her head close to my chest. It's the same way I carry with my arms. Did that make sense? Your little one sounds so precious!

So, I'm really in love with having two children. Oh, it's so nice. In fact, I'm in a romantic mommyhood phase right now where I want more children someday. (This from a woman convinced I was going to get my tubes tied this summer) I didn't realize what a challenging baby Jude was. OMG! I can't believe that babies are actually like Cicely. It's so nice. So refreshing. Sleep makes all the difference. She sleeps well IMO (from 9p-2a and then 2:30a-5:30a and then sometimes 6a-8a). And, I get all that sleep without holding her. OMG! It's like heaven! I'm so happy! I just didn't know it could be soooo good!

Sending you all love
okay I'm back w/ a bit more time now...
Mamaroni, Taurin is close to 18 lbs. I'm not sure how long he is, but he seems really long.
He is such a fun baby. Big, and chubby, and smiley!

Gina, I can really empathize w/ how you feel about it all going so fast...
if you blink they are all grown.

I feel like time flew by w/ Talin. Like just yesterday he was the baby I was nursing and diapering and now he walks and talks and asks for tea!

I really am trying to soak up every bit of Taurins baby stage, because he will be my last baby.

Physically I feel good. I have regained my energy. Still have some pounds to lose and some firming to do, but overall I feel strong and pretty fit. I've been going to the gym... but not as much as I should. And I won't be going much for a week or so because my car is in the mechanics shop and I don't really like driving dh's truck. But I do have a nice double stroller for walking.

My dh and one of his employees are taking the next week off work to remodel our upstairs (3 bedrooms and a bathroom). They are putting up new sheetrock in all the rooms, new windows, fresh paint, trim, new doors, light fixtures, tiling the bathroom, installing a pedastal sink, and laying new carpet...
then in a month or 2 they will start on the downstairs~ new walls, taking down the ceiling tiles and hanging new ceilings, installing wood floors, new cabinets and countertops and sink in the kitchen, new light fixtures...
Its a lot of work but we bought the house as an investment property. Its a great big home built in 1878, and nothing has been changed or updated since 1975 (including carpet! )... after we tackle the inside we will reside the home, and dh plans on changing the concrete walkways to paver walkways and making a paver driveway, and installing a small pond in the back yard...
Our goal is to sell in a couple years and buy a home in Costa Rica. We will live there 1/2 years for a few years and come back to the states to work 1/2 years for a while and eventually be in Costa Rica full time. We plan to have some sort of business there, we just haven't decided what yet.
Well, that's all a ways off yet... but I think of it often!

Wow Meg, my dd has the same outfit as your Melissa. The yellow with the purple flowers with the matching yellow bonnet. My Cali isn't wearing it yet, but i plan to put her in it at a wedding at the end of the month. It was a gift from a good friend. Great Pictures of all your girls!!!

chickenpox photos from a few days ago (they are not nearly so bad now). My Dad just put these up on his site. If they say "locked" it just means too many people are accessing them at once. NAK so typing is tough at the moment.

Me with Megan. Michael (3) is in the background. The white stuff on her head is Calamine lotion.

http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7orc2/6-1M4CJ.jpg
