Welcome to March, and hopefully the start of spring where you are! Whether you're exercising to maintain or lose weight, to avoid watching too much TV, to spend more time with your children/family and friends, to get out and enjoy the cool weather (or go inside to escape the colder weather), or for other health reasons like to ease back pain, I hope you join me in exercising.

For those who need ideas:
Walking
Bicycling
Riding an exercise bike
Jogging or running
Swimming if you can find a heated pool
Lifting weights
Walking with hand weights or cans
Stretching
Walking on a treadmill
Skating in a dry parking lot or skating rink
Parking further away, taking the stairs
Playing soccer/kicking a ball
I'm sure you could think of more.

Be careful, enjoy yourself, and have a great time. Feel free to set your goal lower than 1,000 minutes to fit your and your family's needs (or to accommodate pain), or to set your goal higher if you think you have that much time and the ability to exercise despite the cold.

I'm in again!

I had a pretty productive February. I hope March is the same. I will only count minutes when my running shoes are on. Gotta get serious. Bathing suit season is upon us!

3/1 - 35 minutes on the elliptical since I rolled my ankle
3/2 - Off - I need to prop my ankle up and rest it. Plus my baby has a fever and I don't want to leave while he is sleeping

Thank you, Nazsmum!

Here's hoping your ankle heals soon, lab.

3/1 10 minutes of walking + 1 30 minute mile walked + 1 30 minute mile walked carrying 3 pound weights + 1 30 minute mile walked + 5 minutes of stretching = 105
3/2 15 minutes of walking + 1 30 minute mile walked + 35 minutes of raking + 5 minutes of stretching = 85
105 + 85 = 190/2,000

3/3 5 minutes of walking + 5 minutes of stretching = 10
3/4 1 30 minute mile walked + 10 minutes watering plants + 1 25 minute mile walked + 5 minutes of stretching = 70
3/5 1 30 minute mile walked at sunrise + 30 minutes of walking + 45 minutes riding my exercise bike + 5 minutes of stretching = 110
10 + 70 + 110 = 190
190 + 190 = 380/2,000
