I noticed the last weekly thread was long gone so how bout a new one!

I am around 8 1/2-9 weeks along right now and am still dealing with morning sickness. Not so much but still there. My hunger has picked up some which is nice.Exhaustion is my biggest issue right now.I am supposed to get up at 6:30am every morning to get my two oldest to school and i have been getting them there late every day!Bad mom!I so wish i could homeschool. My oldest is special needs and i can't homeschool her without state approval...anyhow.Tomorrow i am going to the midwives to get something interesting checked out.I have been pregnant 4 times and this is the first time something like this has happened. My vagina was really, really swollen for two days and hurt really bad.I thought either my bladder or uterus prolapsed. The second night i prayed that it wasn't anything serious and to please go away and an hour later i awoke to this huge gush of liquid coming out of my vagina.I thought i was miscarrying and it was blood.I jumped out of bed and my hands were covered in this creamy white liquid.Probably a cup or so worth. My vagina was all the sudden not swollen and everything felt fine again. There were two small spots of blood and then nothing. So what the heck was that all about?I'll find out tomorrow.

How is everyone else?

Earthmama, I hope that your appt. reveals that everything is fine! I have no idea what could have caused that?
I'm doing ok. I am overwhelmingly tired and nauseous, although so far today the nausea has been ok (knock on wood). We're supposed to be heading up to d.c. to see my sister next week (my 8th week) and I'm worried about the trip and if I still feel up to it. Nothing sounds fun these days because I'm so damn tired. My dh has been awesome about keeping the house clean and releaving me of my motherly duties when he's home. He's gotten so much closer to ds it's great and it'll be helpful when the new baby arrives. Ds is SO excited about the baby...he talks about it almost everyday! I'm not sure what the level of his understanding is but loves talking about it...

WoW! I have never heard of anything like that. I hope you get some answers!

I think I am 10 weeks. There is a mahor discrepency between my LMP due date and conception date due date. So I don't know how far along I am. Midwife is using conception date , making it )Ct 7th but that seems so far away. I am measuring 10 weeks, so I will stick to that.

That would mean I found out I was pregnant wayyyyyy before my period was even due. Which I guess is possible.

I am sick sick sick. Not much else though. This one seems to be like my pregnancy with dd so far.

I am also having girl vibes, but I'm wrong a lot.

I think I recall littleteapot describing a gush of fluid like that! Weirdness.

I'm roughly 8 weeks, and symptoms come and go. I have some good coping mechanisms for the nausea, and I'm grateful that my husband and I have gotten on a majorly sleep-friendly schedule in the last months -- we go to bed at 9-9:30 most nights! I was up past that time last night and I'm seriously feeling it today.

I have an ultrasound tomorrow to confirm dates. Anyone who's familiar with FAM can play along at home:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5c720
(We used some sort of contraception on CD 18 and 22 -- we were technically trying to avoid, but not too hard. )

I'm a bit peeved that they're even sending me for the scan, which is accurate to 5 days, when I know my conception window to within about 3 days. However, the midwife's uncertainty is all over my chart now and I want it cleared up before we run into problems later down the line.

Avani, that does sound kinda strange. You'll have to let us know what it is so we don't freak when/if it happens to us!

I am 7 weeks today...which is roughly when I lost my last two pregnancies, so...HOORAY!!!! I had an itty bitty spotting scare yesterday but it was only once and seems to be gone. My breasts are WICKED sore...only made worse by the fact that ds seems to think my upper body is his jungle gym lately...OUCH! I'm getting lucky on the nausea, I only feel little twinges, but the bottomless pit hunger is really killer! My bed is my best friend...aaaaaaah, I love my bed...though I fell asleep walking up my stairs the other day. And at naptime at work the other day. (I'm a preschool teacher but my KIDS are supposed to be sleeping, NOT me!!!)

I'm home from work with sick ds today and we've got a super busy day ahead of us...we have to get ready for our move next week. These sick days are so less than relaxing, hahahahaha!

Well I am 9 weeks. I am ok, but queasy now & then. Ginger ale and mints seem 2 help. I'm also trying to eat lots more protein. Still napping every time my dd is napping. That helps with the exhaustion, but I have to admit that not much housework is getting done. Can't wait to start exercising again. I just don't have the energy for it now. My clothes are uncomfortable and the maternity stuff is too big. So, I am at the in between stage for clothes. Still have to schedule an appt with the nurse to get checked out.

I'm right around 9 weeks now and still hugely tired. Mostly the same as the rest of those who've posted thus far. I've had some tummy flubbing, but not as bad as last pregnancy. Last time I wasn't this tired, so I guess the symptoms are switching prominence? haha

Wow, Avani, that sounds really interesting... your prayer was answer, though. NICE when it happens so quickly. I'm totally curious about what your appointment reveals, if anything at this point. Hope all is well!

I'm currently in week 10 and have been incredibly lucky with not having a lot a nausea. Last week I thought the sleepiness was getting better, but I seem to have relapsed this week. It's interesting to note that I did get a couple of walks in last week which I haven't done this week and think that helped to give me energy. So, I need to get back on the wagon with that. The constant hunger is just that...constant. Most of the time I eat pretty healthy, but sometimes I slip.

I have been really addicted to crocheting lately and have already finished one blanket and am working on a cute little hat now.

Basically, the past few weeks for me are working, eating, sleeping and crocheting. That seems to take all of my time, and I'm loving it.

At 9 weeks now I'm feeling pretty good. I made the mistake of eating New Orleans style black beans and rice with turkey sausage last night, though - ugh!! I'm actually thinking that I'm done with m/s - hooray!! I was in hell last week so though I'm still pretty tired I feel like a new woman!!

I'm feeling pretty icky, what with the ms (which is both morning and dinnertime-ish) and the tiredness. I work two really long days a week, and I don't even get home those days until about 9:30. I think the fatique is making me feel worse in queasy department, which just feels like a nasty cycle. I'm honestly considering quitting my job right now, but it's our only health insurance, so that doesn't seem so hot. I can honestly sleep as much as my 2 yo dd right now, and luckily for me, she still takes long naps! Intellectually, I remember how tough my first trimester was last time, but it's harder to remember how I actually felt. I keep asking my husband, "was it like this before?" but of course, that's a ridiculous question. No, it wasn't like this before! It was different! I'm sorry, I'm sounding complain-y. These last few weeks have been tough. Last pregnancy, I threw up until week 18, so I'm really hoping things aren't like that! I'm 9.5 weeks now, so hopefully, things will look up soon.

Avani, I hope you hear good things!

That's not amniotic fluid. For one it's creamy, and secondly that's far too much. At this stage you barely have a few tablespoons worth in there.
Since I don't think anyone else will suggest it: could it have been an orgasm in your sleep? I have tons of erotic dreams during my first trimester, and climax usually accompanies them. Sometimes it wakes me up, sometimes it doesn't. Even when I don't remember them I usually am aware if I've had one just because of what you're describing here.
Although I can't say I've ever had a 250mls worth!

As for how I am doing:
ALL DAY LONG sickness is kicking my @$$! : This SUCKS! It's awful. I'm so nauseated all the time, but when I actually get to heaving and gagging nothing will come out. So the heaving just makes me more nauseated. Why can't I actually throw up!?

Other than that I feel fine.

avani, that is really odd. i am anxious to hear what your midwife says. i'm glad you're feeling better anyway.

i am almost 8 weeks and feeling okay- not anywhere near as horrible as i did with my first 2. i am exhausted. i mean really really really damn tired. and my stomach is off, but i don't have nausea like some of you poor mamas do. to you because that sucks so bad. my issue goes kind of like this- starving, can't think of anything that sounds good, finally think of something, eat a little bit, feel FULL, stop eating, feel really full and bloated and generally ick for a little while, starving.... this goes on over and over again all day. it's annoying but it could be a lot worse.

i started knitting a sweater for the baby last night.

Avani, that sounds scary! Let us know if you find anything out.

I am about 7/8 weeks and sooooo sleeeeepy. Queasy and hungry-but-nothing-sounds-good in equal measure. My gag reflex has gone into overdrive, which makes me really hesitant about eating a lot of things. And I've been having a fair number of erotic dreams, too. Which is weird, because when I'm awake I don't feel sexy at all.

We haven't really told anyone (besides family) about the baby yet, but will probably start telling people over the next week or so, which will be exciting!

Ugh, that's me today. I had a brief respite yesterday and it was AWESOME not to have my stomach turn at every chance! But it's all back today.

We had that ultrasound yesterday. We were right and the "med"wife was wrong, of course. I'm right around 8w and I've changed my "due date" accordingly. Although I was really trepidatious about scanning my delicate little embryo, I have to admit it was amazing to see its shape and heartbeat on that monitor.

Tonight I'm breaking out my brand new size 0 double-pointed needles and casting on for "better than booties" baby socks!

We're getting big news on Thursday: we'll learn where we are going to live for the next 3-4 years. I'm trying not to think about it so as not to flood the lentil with anxiety/stress hormones!

I'm 7wks 5 days and feel exhausted! Pretty much the same with dd. I get dizzy, but not noxious. I've been trying not to eat every time I'm hungry, which is all the time, but if I go too long, I feel sick.
I'm so glad to hear others are having the erotic dreams! Why? I don't understand. First trimester seems like the unsexiest time, but we're waking up with these "surprises"? I honestly don't know what it's from. Does anyone else?

Hi ladies,
I'm new to the weekly thread - this is a great idea!
I'm going to be starting my 12th week on Tuesday - I'm hopeful that once I'm past the 1st trimester, I'll be able to relax a little. Feeling okay, better than I was a few weeks ago. Still really tired on occasion, but less quesy (even though only junk-food sounds good. Today it's fried chicken). Breasts were hurting initially, now they don't at all - I'm trying not to worry about that
The most exciting development is that I think we've completed our cloth diaper stash - We've been slowly accumulating through purchases on ebay and from hand-me-downs, and I think we're set through size Medium. Any other cloth diaper-ers here? We're new to it, but we say a little prayer that we're going to make it work and that we'll be successful despite all of the naysayers in our family We've only spent $170 on our stash, but it includes a sizeable donation of prefolds and proraps. Every night I can't help myself, I have to pull out those tiny little diaper covers and ooh and ahh..... They're just SO tiny and SO sweet

I have to admit i would have loved if it was just an erotic dream But two days of swelling and then a burst of liquid and no more swelling doesn't make sense. So the midwife found nothing. My uterus is great and measuring right on and everything inside felt just fine. She is as mystified as me.Strangest thing i have ever encountered. When i am pregnant with girls i always have a lot of erotic dreams with other women but when i am pregnant with boys it is dreams with men. That is just me though!

I need a burst of energy here.We moved into a place temporarily and it is so messy.I'm hoping to move near the beach in the next few months.

I talked with my friend a cranial sacral therapist who attended my last birth and she agreed to come to this birth!I am so excited. She is a really powerful lady who brought the best energy to my birthing. She made me laugh, she kept me calm.I remember when she first showed up and she brought me a huge bunch of fresh cut lavender.Yum!As soon as my babe came out she did cranial work on her while i nursed. The babe was very upset when she came out but instantly calmed down as my friend did her thing.I am so excited she will be there.
