I am not sure if any of the rest of you watch trashy reality TV, but I've always had a bit of a crush on Mario Lopez in the looks department, so I was checking out his show, "Mario Lopez: Saved By the Baby." A Latin guy with giant dimples? Yes, please! (Not so sure about personality, beliefs, and all that, but I am not in the running to date or marry the guy, so that's irrelevant.)

ANYWAY, what does this have to do with circ? I was watching his show and his girlfriend is pregnant. They don't know the sex of the baby, but if it's a boy, the girlfriend wants to circumcise. Mario is dead set against it, and his logic and argumentation skills aren't that great, but he really stands up to her and says "Absolutely not." I also think it's great that the show spends a lot of time on the topic, even if they equally show the girlfriend's lame excuses for wanting to circ.

Thankfully they had a baby girl, but it made me think maybe we needed a "Way to Go Mario!" campaign or something! Maybe he needs to spearhead some kind of national Anti-Circ campaign? What do you think, mamas? Maybe we could get a bunch of male celebrities involved. I don't have the money, connections, or means, but how cool would that be? I thought we could at least email him or something. It seems like he needs to be recognized for fighting this idea that circ is normal on a national TV show.
