How do you market a sh*tty pharmaceutical product?

GSK has the solution for its corporate media "stakeholders!"
First, here's a handy-dandy guide to year-round flu shot pushing.

Then, just when you didn't think it could get sleazier, scroll to page 2 to see how corporations dictate media coverage: https://www.izsummitpartners.org/content/uploads/2018/05/Romano_GSK-Update.pdf

Lie. Lie some more. And then distort whatever remains unfalsified.

Impressive system

This article is playing a similar game pushing the HPV vaccine. https://www.wpr.org/released-over-decade-ago-hpv-vaccine-still-hasnt-caught

This should basically be a routine for every kid," Conway said. "I think every kid deserves the opportunity to be able to prevent cancer in their lives and that's really what this is all about." Part of the disconnect falls on age, and the doctors giving the vaccines, he said. Cancers related to HPV typically show up in people's 30s through 60s, something pediatricians don't often see.
"I think it's a lot easier when you're talking to somebody about a vaccine and say, 'Oh yeah, I've seen pertussis (whooping cough), it's terrible,'" Conway said. "We realized that we needed to do a lot more education for the providers ... because this was really a new thing that was dumped on their lap."
The entire article totally avoids any discussion of any concerns about safety or about young people who end up ill following these vaccines. Poof. They don't exist.

Interesting example involving whooping cough. Much of the article is quite truthful about the faults of the vaccine, the failure of medical staff to do a correct diagnosis, etc., but nevertheless the vaccine is STILL the solution.

https://www.ajc.com/lifestyles/health/why-whooping-cough-making-comeback/Hgvm5041UvCPfSZa9fp4tM/
She wants families to know the following: don’t assume you can’t get whooping cough because you’ve been vaccinated; whooping cough not only affects babies; early treatment is key (not only may it help reduce the severity or the length of the illness, it prevents spreading the illness to others); and whooping cough “doesn’t always whoop,” particularly in adolescents and adults. Her son burped for air after each attack. She checked his fingernails — and they were purplish-blue near the cuticles because he wasn’t getting enough oxygen.
Perfect example of how a vaxed kid failed to be diagnosed and had atypical symptoms, making it more likely that he would share the illness. Apparently he only gave it to his mom...

Another marketing method is to attack your critics, claiming "science". Monsanto is the current poster child for this behavior, but the pharmaceutical companies have been doing it for years.

III. Have these group(s) enlisted officers, directors, or managing agents, outside astroturf, undue influence, layperson, enthusiast, professional organization or media entities to attack, intimidate and/or disparage
a. stakeholders who are placed at risk by the element in question
b. wayward legislative, executive or judicial members of government
c. dissenting scientists
d. stakeholders they have targeted or feel bear the greatest threat
e. neutral to challenging media outlets
f. the online and social media public?

In fact, it is not necessary to advertise the product itself directly. I mean, you can use other services of marketers, you know. Let's say you need services that would increase the popularity of a product. And you put your product on the company's website. Then you can hire an SEO specialist who will raise the products to the top in the search engine. People will search for information about some pharmaceutical business, and they will find your site. Isn't that great? I didn't know it was possible. This does not raise the payback of products very much. I, for example, turned to Miami SEO Services to increase sales of my crafts :)

From article above

''The reports represent just a tiny fraction of the nearly 130 million Americans who have been fully vaccinated with either Pfizer or Moderna's doses.''

So, let's minimize the damage being done by pointing out alllllllllllllllllll the others who claim to have no issues.
Not to mention that the 130 million isn't really relevant, as the risk is pretty specific to adolescents and young adults, who are themselves a minority of those 130 million vaccinated Americans.

You weren't supposed to notice that.

Any more than people were supposed to notice that on the HPV vaccines they would talk about doses distributed and leave out that people were supposed to get 3 doses or later 2 doses, not to mention that distributed and injected are not at all synonymous.
