Ok I think it's a conspiracy to design ugly swimwear for pregnant women in the US!
I have found WAY cuter swimwear in the UK and AUS.

Since Gap Maternity is sold out of what I wanted to get, I had to go to a maternity store in Australia to find anything remotely cute, and not plain jane frumpy.

I need to look for a new swimsuit too. I hate to spend too much as this is my last pregnancy. I have one from old navy and one from the gap but my butt and belly seem to big already. The stinkin' tankinis ride up while I'm in the water too and expose my whole belly. I might just buy a regular bikini if this is the case with all of them. I'm also long waisted so most one pieces won't work.

There are even more limited selections in plus sized maternity. I found a decent one at motherhood maternity online. It is a tankini but hopefully it will work out. I have tried it on and it is fine but haven't tried it in the water. I figure it has to be better than sitting at the side of the pool while everyone swims.

When I was pregnant with DS, I found two, VERY cute, and VERY cheap bathing suits at Burlington Coat Factory. I don't know if they have them in CO (mamas2atti, I bought mine at the BCF @ AZ Mills mall).

I hate the woes of maternity clothes, especially when we're (dare I say it), close enough to the end that buying something you're going to be able to wear only for another few months is so frustrating!!

I bought one one last year bc my body wasn't bathing suit ready (is it ever???
) and it's super cute...

Surprisingly enough it's from Motherhood which I normally hate bc nothing fits me right there..

It's red and it's a halter style tankini and ties in the back low but swings out from the body.....if you can picture that. I am a 36/38D right now and it fits fine. The bottoms look HUGE until you put them on...
:l

It's similar to this one but without the detail under the bust...just all red..it's very comfy...love it...If I were brave enough I would wear the top as a top but alas.....it's good enough for the pool....

Liz Lange at Target had some cute ones when I was there last week....

Have you checked out Lane Bryant? They have some reletively cute tankinis for maternity. Keep in mind that they specialize in plus size..their medium is a regular large.

They also have an OUTLET and sometimes have some great deals on swim stuff there as well.

I'm sorry you can't find a cute one. I was able to find 2 last pregnancy. One at old navy and one at a specialty maternity store in town. I actually continue to wear the one piece from the maternity store when I'm not preggo. It looks normal either way.
I hope you can find something you like. The swimsuits were my favorite thing I got. Those and a couple of dresses.

We are currently visiting my in-laws and they have a pool at their apartment complex. I couldn't even be bothered to put my maternity swim suit on yesterday as it is so plain and boring. Just a one piece black. I bought it from Gap Maternity with my first pregnancy. I've since seen some cuter 2-piece suits but am on a budget so haven't spent the cash on another. I agree that most of the suits are ugly.

Not even mentioning the whole belly part, they simply do not make swimming suits that fit a 32G. An XXL is too small in the cup, and about two times too big around. I just gave up - and bought my first-ever string bikini! It was the only way I could come up with to fix the problem.

However, I just plan to wear mine sitting on the back deck, and on my mother's boat. I cannot fathom what I would do if I had to go out in public in a swimsuit this summer. I think I'd have to sew my own!

Blech. Swimsuit season is never fun.

I have not even tried on a swimsuit but I thought I would through in a vent. With the high waist on so many of the shirts nothing is fitting me. I cannot get that band or what ever it is (hardly seems like a waist) to reach past my nipples. It looks terrible and is very irritating. It is supposed to be below the breasts and it just isn't. Ugh.
