I didn't tear or have an episiotomy, but my perineum is still numb. I know that it goes numb when the baby crowns, but I didn't know it stayed that way. This is normal, right?

With dd, I had no tears or an episiotomy. I didn't even have a 'skid mark'. But I did have a lot of bruising. I don't recall any numbness, but I imagine if the bruising was severe enough it might feel numb.

Hmm...I had a pudendal block followed by episiotomy, so my vag may as well have disintegrated. After all that wore off I could definitely feel it though!

I think its possible that it can remain numb for a while. Maybe its like having your arm or leg "go to sleep" from laying on it too long. The pressure of the birth may cause a similar effect?
