Hi, I'm new to MDC and new to cloth diapering.

I recently bought some CPF premium dsq diapers from GraniteSmith on Ebay. Are these good diapers? Did I buy CPF's or did I buy DSQ's?

My baby girl is wearing her second cloth diaper this morning. I'm using diapers and covers I received in a sample package from naturalbabiesdotcom. I have no idea what type of diaper I'll end up using most of the time.

I want to be sure I buy *real* CPF's because I've read that they are the best pre-fold. I have no idea how to figure out if I'm purchasing *real* CPF's, though.

Sorry for butting in and...

Thanks for your help...

Hi.

Thanks for your reply

I was specifically searching Ebay for Chinese prefolds. The auction description was for DSQ Chinese prefolds.

What I didn't realize, until I saw this thread, is that DSQ's and CPF's are two different items. So, if the auction stated both DSQ and CPF, does that mean I am getting *real* CPF's?

My gut instinct is that I am, but I was hoping for a little clarification. DSQ's and CPF's aren't the same thing. Perhaps if a description states DSQ *only*, it doesn't automatically follow that they are CPF's? But if a description states DSQ *and* CPF, then they are good diapers?

I'm sorry for all of the questions. I've been reading cloth diapering websites so much that I've been dreaming about cloth diapering. My Dh (a new Cloth Dipe Website widower) has been sweetly teasing me.

Just when I think I'm getting a handle on all the information...BAM!
And I'm not talking Emeril, here...LOL!

Thanks again...

I think the same about the descriptions.
If it says DSQ ONLY they are probably NOT Chinese. But if it also says Chinese in the description then they are - DSQ means "diaper service quality" anyways and Chinese prefolds are that too...

A very warm welcome to you!

And... quote " Sorry for butting in and..."

No, you are NOT butting in! You have important questions! Butting in would be posting porn or something terrible like that!

Welcome to the board, and congratulations on your decision to cloth diaper.

Wow!

Thank you for the warm welcome.
I really appreciate it!

Once I've gotten my feet wet, I'm hoping to be a warm welcomer and informed contributor like all of you.

Trish, thank you for moving my question. I didn't intend for the original thread to become all about meeee and myyyy questions...lol! I realized I'd made an *oops*, but didn't/don't know if I could delete my response and start over so I went with the flow.

I'll probably lurk a bit more. I'm not quite finished reading all the messages on the Diapering Board.

Thanks again...

PDe, it was no problem at all to separate the thread and you did nothing wrong. Ask as many questions as you want, that's what the diapering board is for. I just wanted the ladies to see that we have a new mama on the board.

Thank you for the new welcomes!

I love those friendly little characters y'all add to your messages

I also want to say that I hope I didn't come across as being disparaging of Granitesmith's auction description or her services. I couldn't be more pleased with how our transaction has gone and I don't/didn't anticipate being disappointed in the diapers. I just wanted to be sure I ordered the right stuff as far as CPFs go. If I hadn't, it wouldn't have been her fault at all and I would have placed another order with my new information.
Just thought I'd add that 'cause it came to me that this is how my message could have come across and I didn't mean it that way.

Thank you for letting me know that the Green Earth Textiles CPFs are the *real deal*.
I can't wait for my premium unbleached CPFs to arrive!
