DD hasn't nursed in over a week; she is 21 mos. I was hoping to nurse at least until 2 years, but of course not if she doesn't want to. She refuses when I offer. So, if anyone asks, do I say she is weaned? Or is there any chance she may start up again? I'm secretly hoping she will after I have another baby. I was really looking forward to being asked to nurse all sorts of inanimate objects!

i wouldn't say she's weaned yet. some kids can go several weeks between nursings. tho if a year go bys w/o nursing, i'd say she's weaned

oohhh i hope you do get to nurse inanimate objects! it's fun! my 20mo daughter hands over her bunnies, tigers, ponies and tells me they want "booby".

oh i just thought of something!!!! maybe if you nursed one of your dd's toys, she's wanna nurse too?

My dd1, I declared her weaned at 18 months. She went 2 months w/o nursing, then nursed here and there (very briefly) for the next 3 years! Whenever anyone asks when she weaned, I'm like, "uhhhh... "
