I am fascinated by the idea of EC but never could wrap my brain around it completely...especially with two other small children. I'm not sure how you guys do it...I'll just keep lurking and trying to figure it out!

Anyways, I just got a bit more encouraged that it might be possible when I saw this product and wanted to share! http://nekkieblankie.com I can't believe how versatile it is, but it would be especially great for EC!

I love the nekkie blankie! Unfortunately for me, I found it just a few weeks before my daughter began to crawl So I lent it to a friend (the one friend IRL that I have convinced to give this a go!), and now am regretting it because we're trying to do nekkie time at night... I've washed a lot of sheets lately!

Anyway, If you have other kids but still want to give this a go without going nuts, you could try just a low key version. Keep a diaper on, but then offer the potty after every nap and feeding, and maybe even during every diaper change (or whenever seems the most "likely" time--for us it's after naps, but not after eating). If you are comfortable and your dc is big enough, you could also put a little potty in your bathroom, and put your kiddo on it every time YOU go (I've started doing this with my daughter and it works great--if she needs to go, she does, and if she doesn't, she thinks it's a lark to be sitting up and banging on the potty!)

In it's simplest form, just try pottying her first thing in the morning and do your normal thing the rest of the day...after a few catches, you'll probably want to try more...:

She's 6 months, so I was thinking about jokingly asking Kayli from Nekkie Blankie to make me one that's 60" wide x 4 yards so that it would cover the entire open area of our living room LOL because she is ALL OVER THE PLACE now!

Is 6 months too late?

I don't think it's ever too late, but I've never done this before (or seen it done before, and I started at 3 months ). I think that whatever you can do to catch a pee or poo here and there will help whenever your dc is ready to learn. Can't hurt, right? As long as you stay low key about it.

I need one to cover the only rug in the house... which, somehow, she's never peed on, despite spending tons of time on, although she's peed on every thing else...

How 'bout a Nekkie blanket boppee pillow cover? Kayli?

LOL you ladies are awesome! I've been so busy doing orders the past couple weeks I haven't even had a chance to pop by!

Funny thing on the huge sized- my Hyenacart will open Tues and I will be offering 5 ft x 3 ft Nekkies!!! I've had so many requests for them that I figured I should get to work on some lol.

Boppy pillow cover is an interesting idea! They should make those wicking and waterproof. I'll look into the patents around it (don't want to step on any toes!) and see if it's do-able. If y'all ever need a special request just ask! I'd go even bigger than 5x3 but then it'd be a huge pain to wash lol. I'm thinking I seriously thought of doing a Nekkie Rug all one piece no snaps, but I am so busy I don't have time to mess with such a risky venture
