Hello! I have to say I feel bad starting the thread the last few weeks because I have been so bad and my stats are not likely to be inspiring anyone right now! That said, after a week of eating terribily because my mom was here for 6 days (but working out 5 days and then running my first ever 5K this weekend), my stats are at least not shocking! Here they are:

Height: 5'8
Last Weeks Weight: 165
Current weight: 166
Total loss this week: 0
Total loss since baby: 59 lbs
Total loss since September: 46 lbs
Total Loss since joining MDC Club on 2/9: 27 lbs
New Goal: 160 for my birthday (July 21)

Now I need to get back on track. The summer is harder beacuse we travel more and have more visiters. Oh well. Next week I need to get back to losing 2-3 poounds a week and get myself into the 150's before I start slowing down so much.

Hope everyone had a good week (and not in the cheesecake and pasta type of 'good' week that I had!).

Monday already?

Hum...

I'm back to 130
Lost 2 pounds this week...

Still stuggling tho, and have a hard time sleeping thru the night... I'm tired and don't feel like eating but end up eating not so healthy food because "I need to have something or I will faint"

Well, according to the scale, I'm off my plateau but I don't believe it. :LOL Unless I change something serious about my diet or exercise routine, I think I'm going to bounce around this weight for a while, a pound up, a pound down.

The numbers: highest postpartum 216
start here at MDC 198
last lowest number 143 weeks ago!
today 142
total lost 74
ultimate dream goal 135 - only 7 pounds away!

I went clothes shopping this weekend and looking at my rear end in the mirror : made me realize that what I really need to do is take my own advice and start doing more weight lifting/strength training. I've been "wimping out" in that even though I will do cardio for an hour at a time and burn lots of calories, I need to build more muscle and get more toned. Even if I don't lose any more weight, I think I could be more compact and less flabby.

It's harder now that I'm working 3 days a week; I can only work out on my off days, and I still don't see how I can join a gym except on weekends, which doesn't seem worthwhile.

Oh well, I will be proud of myself for what I have accomplished so far and not pine after the perfect body, which I'm not going to achieve in this lifetime! :LOL

today 137
I have been bouncing around this weight for a long time as well. However, 137 is my lowest yet!! I am quite pleased
I did great avoiding sugar and white flour last week and will continue that course this week.
I worked out 4 days last week and am happy with that but I want to up my cardio to 30 min 5 times a week.
Congrats Quirky on your 5K!!! That is impressive. I am eyeing a goal like that, but haven't comitted yet. It's a little scary. But I am moving in that direction!

I hear ya Megan! It's hard when you have company and you're on the go. That's my problem a lot of the time! :

Looks like everyone has had a pretty good week! WTG Michele, softmama, Quirky and Valerie!

Okay, as for me... <deep breath> I lost FIVE pounds! This has never, ever happend before. I did gain 2.5lbs last week, so I basically lost that plus another 2.5lbs. I didn't drink any Coke this week and I ate a little more protein. Seriously, with the workouts I do (strength training) I really need some protein and since I don't eat much meat or legumes I'm sure I've been lacking.

So, I'm going to keep eating lean meat this week and see if that helps. I had a horrid headache last Thu/Fri and I think a Coke would have cured it, but I held out. So here's to a week without drinking soda! I just need to keep that up.

New to this thread! What a wonderful support you ladies are to each other! I have been active and eating well for the last few weeks. I am proud of myself for walking or hiking daily, doing my yoga most night and choosing good food for myself. Here are my stats:

Last week: 173
This week: 170
Major goal: 130 (still higher than my pre-pregnancy weight--I gained 65lbs--YIKES!)
Minor goal: 155 (for my SIL's wedding 7/25)

Here's my tip for drinking more water: Put a large glass by your bathroom sink. Every time you go to the bathroom, drink one glass of water. Unfortunately it's not filtered, but at least it gets me to drink water at regular intervals. The more you go to the bathroom, the more you drink, which makes you go more, drink.......

In the past I have been extremely frustrated since I can never seem to get below the 170 mark. I used to go on 2-3 hour walks every day for months, but never once got below 170. I wasn't eating the best or doing a whole picture approach to health and weight loss at the time, so maybe that was it. I don't really focus on my numbers as much as how I feel, although all the extra weight I carry makes my body ache. Over the last two weeks, I still haven't gone lower than 170, but my pants are baggy. Woo hoo!

Will the weight ever come off if I keep at it??? Or am I just doomed to 170 purgatory?

Long-term Goal :160

Knowing that I was going to check in this morning really was a 'help' this week. I was pleased to see the scale this morning seeing that Saturday was our 5 year anniversary and we seem to still celebrate with food??? I wasn't able to stick to my regular exercise routine this week and I hate that. I'm leaving for Kauai, Hawaii on Wednesday and we will be doing lots of hiking and I'm planning to eat healthy. I will not check in next Monday, but will when I get home.

Congrats on the great numbers ladies!

As for your question, I think for each of us there is a trick. Each of us is doing different things. Some cut out yeast and sugar because of an imbalance, some exercise more, some are doing the South Beach type diet, etc etc.

I am nursing my 13mo little man so I don't want to do anything drastic. I do think eating some protein will help though, I haven't been getting much protein at all and eat too many carbs. I'm not really worried about carbs as long as they are whole grains.

Wow! Congrats on some really good numbers this week

I maintained this week, which is better I suppose than not maintaining I did really good most of the week, but my divorce was finalized on Friday and Sunday would have been my Anniversary so I ate and ate and ate and ate and when I was done I ate some more. The whole time I knew what I was doing wouldn't help me with anything but it was like I couldn't think of a way to sufficently deaden the pain. Ugh!!

Height 5'10"
Weight last week 250
Weight this week 245
Weight lost this week 5
Mini Goal 232.5 by July 4th
Long term goal 165 (150 maybe)

Goals for this week: to get out and walk at least 4 days and do some kind of excersize every day, to drink water instead of coffee or soda, to start back up my journal.

Edited to say: Wow! I guess I most have done reeeeeally good at the beginning of the week because after I posted here I discovered my scale was weighing 5 lbs heavy due to curious little fingers )

With 74 pounds lost, I'll say!

Yesterday was my last day of the South Beach induction, it went smoothly, but I don't feel magically free from cravings. I yearn for a big slice of pizza, but seen the scale move and size 4 approaching--I can actually zipper a pair of size 4 pants, but they're a bit too snug to wear in public--makes the deprivation worthwhile.

my stats
Highest pp weight: 166
Start at MDC club: 145
Last week: 122
Today: 120
Goal: 115-ish.

Hello everyone, I don't know if you remember me, but I was here about 10 months ago before I got pg and had to drop out. I had gotten within 8 lbs of my goal weight. So I gained 50 lbs with the pgcy, and have lost about 20 since giving birth.

Today's weight: 144
Goal weight: 110

Right now the weight loss is effortless, but I'm still planning on making some effort because I know someday I'll actually have to work at it.

Ugh! I woke up this morning SO motivated to get moving...and then a raindrop splashed me in the face (no, I was inside. I have been trying to get a drip in my bedroom window fixed since I moved in here, time to call the repair man again ) So, what do you do on rainy days? What kind of work out works for you?
