Anyone BTDT?

I have started measuring my fundus once in a while and I noticed yesterday that the babe was very high in Utero and I am measuring about 6cm more then just a few days ago...

I know that I am measuring right but the position of the babe is just a bit weird compared to what I am used to..
My two boys were posterior and very low... they never dropped or engaged until a few minutes before they were born and they both had the same position in Utero... I could always feel their head near the cervix though...

Anyways... there is a few inches of space between the pubic bone and where I feel the babe start and though the fundus was just above my belly button a few days ago, now it is much higher... I hear the heart near the fundus and like I said I a measuring about 6 cm more then a few days ago...
What do you think?
Anyone experience this before? could it be that babe is transverse? I am not really worried for now... just curious....

I have always measured huge until about 22 weeks or so when I start to even out--at least 4 weeks ahead with both pregnancies.

My sister was told that she was measuring 5 weeks behind all the sudden at one of her prenatal visits (a change from about a week before). They were concerned that the baby wasn't growing properly and ordered an ultrasound. She never did "catch up" to where she would have been. She measured at 34-35 weeks at 41 weeks when she delivered a 9 lb. 4 oz. bouncing baby boy....up to about 30 weeks or so she had measured normally.

He was in good position, so I don't know what the change was. He didn't engage until during labor as well.....

I don't have an answer, but maybe this will help ease your mind??

I am going throught the *why am I measuring big??* thing myself. I have been measuring large my whole pregnancy, way more so then previous pregnancy's. This baby is carrying differently so who knows, maybe thats why. At 27 wks i measured 32cm, 30 wks 36cm, 32wks 37cm. I've had 1 ultrasound that was inconclusive due to "more then normal fetal activity"....yeah thanks, the only reason we went was because we were thinking about twins. So here we are at 32.5 wks and we still don't know if there is a reason, we still are suspecting twins. I made an appoinment to see a doc on wed (33wks) so i am hopefully going to find out more from him..or at least an opinion. I'm still not sure if I want to do another US....I'm so irratated with the whole deal!! I'll keep you posted as to why the *big*. Sorry I can't be of more help!!

I think I would be questioning a bit less I had always been measuring large this pregnancy... it really changed pretty much over night... I think what is a bit weird for me is the lack of babe for a few inches above my pubic bone and the way that the uterus feels pushed up way above where I have ever felt it before...

It is not really worrisom per say and I know that there is tons of time for babe to turn... but I am just wondering what kind of position the babe could be in to make it look and feel the way it does...

I have just been reading up on this because I am 14 weeks but I am measuring 18 cm or just right under my belly button. One thing I read did say that baby's position may change measurement and I think it said something about being transverse but I am trying to figure out how that makes sense. I have always measured 3cm over in later pg but I guess it could fluctuate with babe's growth spurts.
