Most recipes call for 'cups' of flour but my home ground flour is much fluffier and therefore 1 cup will not = 1 cup of store bought flour.

how do you get around this problem?

I thought with store-bought, you are supposed to fluff out and pour or sift out a cup rather than scoop it. Otherwise, you end up with a denser result than intended. I always pour my flour, and if it's coming out packed and clumped, I stir it with a chopstick in the bag first. So I think with your fresh ground, it should be close.

The only way to really get around it is to use recipes that use weight measurements, but it's not always easy to find those.
