I had my 1st appt with my midwife, and I love him<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"> he is very sweet and gentle, and he knows his stuff. DH went with me and David put him at ease. You would think this was his idea, the way he is going on, lol. Anyway, I am 25 weeks, but am measuring 29cm. Now I am fixated...is this a problem or no? My gut says no, but like DH says I need something to worry about, lol!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe your baby just had a little growth spurt or was laying funnily. I'm measuring large too and this is just my second baby so I'm sure by my third it would be the same if not worse...

I've been measuring 5+cm too big the entire pregnancy, and a few friends of mine have shared their experiences with that too.<br>
Apparnetly you should "even out" around 23 weeks, and if not then, you'll start evening out. It's not so much the amount "too big" you are as the PROGRESSION of growth from month to month.

Yeah...I'm measuring big too...have been all along...but the 2 U/S have assurred us that there is only ONE baby in there.

I measure big in every pregnancy. I'm guessing it might have something to do with having 10lb babies <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
It's perfectly normal!

My daughter was overdue (and obviously so) and only 6lbs 14oz! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">: She was long and skinny, and swimming in newborn sized clothes!<br>
I wanted a big chubster that I can hold up at ALL THOSE PEOPLE who keep saying I can't possibly have my husband's baby (I'm 5ft he's 6'4") vaginally!! I'm still holding out hope that one day I'll have one.

I don't know if I'm technically measuring ahead but I'm bigger this time than I was last time. I haven't actually measured (with a tape measure) my fundus I only feel it to make sure it's growing (the midwife didn't measure it either).

That's funny. At my 25 week (last week) I was measuring 29 too. My midwife said if at my 28 week appt I'm still measuring large we'll go for another u/s. I'd love a 9 or 10 pound baby!
