I've been seeing that story on facebook. So tragic. I can't imagine what that family is going through. Hopefully some good will come out of all this

This article says 500,000 British people have signed a petition for wider access to the vaccine!

What strain was it? Due to my vaccination choices in the past my oldest didn't get hib and the younger ones only got one dose.

I read a headline that said this was the most signed petition ever in Britain. Wow!

It's certainly been big news here. And a well known rugby player also came out with his story of his child surviving meningitis (and how it was the worst week of his life).

They are required to debate the petition in parliament now. Will be interesting to see what happens, although with the EU referendum now scheduled it may be a while before they get to it.
