Meridian midwife/doula needed

I am in Meridian, MS and really looking into a homebirth. Do you guys know of any midwives who do homebirths in this area? Also, do you know any doulas that serve Meridian?

Finally, if you have had any experience with Rush, Riley, or Anderson hospitals as far as natural birthing goes, I would love to hear about it. I am going to try for a homebirth, but want to be researching the hospitals in case I can't find midwife. Thanks!

Hi, I'm in Meridian, also. I've been doing the same research. I know of two midwives and one doula. I don't know if we're supposed to mention names or not...some people do, some people don't. I don't know anything about the hospitals here...and there are very few CNMs. Rush has midwives and then one other doctor has a midwife in their practice.

How long have you been in Meridian?

We have been here for about three months. We aren't pregnant yet, but are currently TTC. I just like to have my stuff figured out way in advance.

I am in boise and also pregnant. I am interested in touring the birth center ( in meridian) and looking at midwife options. I would also love to eat other AP moms.
