Is your applebee's BF friendly?

Well, I haven't heard much from either of the groups I posted the info to (except that the Popcorn Festival is in Valparaiso that day, and the Valpo Applebee's would be more convenient). I'm in Whiting, so the Valpo one is only about 13 more miles farther from me than Merrillville, and it's not a big deal if there's going to be more supporters.

Honestly, I don't know if the Applebee's are friendly. The only one I've been to is in Schererville, and it was over 10 years ago. I will be calling both the Merrillville one and the Valpo one tomorrow to see what the policy on is.

Good luck with your nurse-in!

I'm surprised there's not one organized for Indianapolis. Unfortunately Valparaiso is too far north for me.

Just out of curiosity, are most of y'all planning on going in the restaurant, sitting down to eat, and then nursing (a nurse-in) or protesting outside while nursing (a nurse-out)?

I think Indianapolis is in the making right now (it was as of last night). I believe a location has been selected.

Technically I guess it would be a *nurse-out* because we are not going into Applebee's.

I just got clarification on whether what is happening on Saturday is a *nurse-in* or a *nurse-out*. Here is what was posted.

A Nurse-Out is an event planned and organized to generally show support and educate the public about breastfeeding and breastfeeding in public. This was really started by ProMoM in 2001 as an annual event to be held during World Breastfeeding Week.

A Nurse-In is an event in direct response to an incident. Like this one,
Delta, Toys R Us, The View etc... The term is a take on the term sit-in. Like
a protest.
