"Rub a little lavender in jojoba oil on your neck before holding baby to help baby to sleep, or use lavender or chamomile in a room vaporizer.

Add one drop of chamomile or lavender or geranium to a glass bowl of warm water and apply the compress to the baby's stomach area" From the Practical Art of Aromatherapy...

It also says to use very low dosage and not allow the EOs to touch their skin... that's why they recommend the jojoba oil as base..

Hope it helps.

I use almond oil that i bought (in bulk) from a natural foods store (like WHole Foods). I added a couple of drops of lavendar EO. According to pretty much all of my baby books, any cold-pressed fruit or vegetable oil will work fine.

I use almond oil. Very smooth. Sometimes I add a little scent (lemon/mint, rose, clarey sage.... depending on the mood.)
