Though non-toxic is nice - I don't think it's always feasible. For example, borax is considered eco-friendly, but it's toxic when ingested and may irritate skin because the pH is so high. Still, for cleaning purposes and general use, it's considered good. You'll always notice that things get cleaner better if it has is more acidic or really basic in nature (Drano is a great example - it works so well because it's a high pH base - but of course there are other chemicals in there that are not fun for the environment or to ourselves, so that's why we try to avoid it).<br><br>
Method, I believe is a conscientious company. They do use Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates in some of their products, but it's been debateable whether or not that's harmful or not. Cocobetaine is a nice alternative, but it's still made from coconut based surfectants, same as SLS and SLES.<br><br>
