I am so happy that this pregnancy is finally over!!
I woke up Sunday morning at 1:30 am with a terrible backache. I got up and came to MDC :LOL At about 2:30 I tried to lay on the couch and sleep but contractions started and they were fast. I called the midwife at 4:30 and woke up DP. He blew up the pool and by the time it was half filled up the midwives aprentice was here. I got in the pool at about 5:30 and stayed in. It felt so good to float around in there. At about 7:30am I was in transition and started to throw up. This was when my contractions went from 5 minutes apart to 1 minute. At this point I thought to myself...I dont know if I can do this again. It was hurting pretty bad. I felt as if I had to push and I didnt want to . I reached in with my index finger and I could feel the baby, My finger was only inserted to my knuckle! I thought holy sh*t, this is it, I am finally going to have this baby. With the next contraction I pushed and the next contraction his head started to crown. I felt my water break as his head was comming out, how intense it was. I asked the midwife to go wake up dd, as she was still sleeping. She came out rubbing her eyes and went potty. I pushed 2 more times and DP got in and caught our beautiful baby. I fliped over and put him to my chest. DD got into the pool and cuddled up with us. It was amazing and perfect. DP and DD cut the cord. He was born June 12 at 8:13 am. 10 pounds 8 ounces. 22 inches long with a 14.5 inch head. I am so blissed out I can hardley stand it.
Great job mama. What a big beautiful baby. I love the picture of the two of them together. Children really understand and get how precious that new life really is.
Peace,
Shelbi
P.S. Was the link for a photo album because it didn't come up? Just curious.
