Hey guys, got a question for you (if you read my "ok, I'm an idiot" thread, I'm sure you can figure out why this worries me!)

This is my first cycle on Microgestin. I'm not sure if I have my period or not! The day before i usually started on my last pill I got this light brown spotting. I figured, "ok, here she comes!" so I stuck my DivaCup in there and waited for her. It got a little heavier (like....a TINY amount. I didn't even make it to the 1st line inside the cup) and today it's super light.

What do you think? Is this normal for a pill switched or do I need to think about heading to the Dollar General for a few tests?

i'm on the same pill, was pre-pregnancy and am again now that DD is an older nursling and i'm not so worried about supply. these pills are NOTORIOUS for light periods, skipped periods, and spotting. so what you describe is normal. if you've taken the pill as indicated and everything, i would assume you are not pregnant

once you actually start trusting that the pill works and you're not pg (always takes a few months at least for me!
), the missed periods aren't a big deal. "periods" while on BCP aren't real periods anyhow, so missing them doesn't do anything. it's a little annoying, but overall i'm happy to be on something so effective.

I never actually got a "period"...only dark brown spotting...like steak sauce o_O (not enough to cause a mess...only enough to get on the toilet paper.) It lasted about 4 days. The last day wasn't really like....any...so maybe it's really just 3... Getting sick. Maybe it's all a coincidence. Testing tomorrow morning to put my mind at ease...

btw, Happy Easter.
