Hi...I'm new to the forums. I found out exactly 2 weeks ago that I'm pregnant with my first child. I'm very excited and a little scared as I'll be considered a "high risk" pregnancy. I am 38 (39 in December) and overweight. I am trying to find my best options for as natural a childbirth as possible, while still being close to all the emergency stuff. I live about 45 minutes from Chattanooga and am interested in looking in that area for a good doc and hospital. I am currently seeing an ob(I haven't actually met the doc, just her nurse for blood tests) in my area, but I've heard that the hospital policies are very medical oriented rather than mother oriented (if that makes sense). I'd appreciate any info, suggestions, or leads.<br>

dr fujiyoshi delivered my first at southern tn med ctr 8 yrs ago. i almost went to the east nashville birth center tho. i havent lived in the area since 2001. i was in manchester. our ped was dr amy evans at sewanee pediatrics.
