Wow cool that is great to know considering that I will be moving there soon and hope to get pregnant in about a year.

Also keep in mind you NEK mamas that I am a doula in training and I am hoping to assist people giving birth. I am doing free births at this point so that I can get some experience in. Let me know if anyone is interested!

Monica Stevens assisted at the birth of my first child and was my midwife for my 2nd. She's just wonderful!! I can't say enough about her! She's a strong, caring, dedicated, great person who I am honored to have had my pregnancies/births with. To this day we keep in touch via email/letters/phone, and when situations have come up in my life that were a little too emotionally heavy she offered advice and support and a listening ear.

One of the cool things about Monica is that she is a "mobile midwife" - she comes to your house for all the prenatal appointments. This was really valuable to me since I had another child. It's so much easier than trucking into an office somewhere!

My son's birth was incredible - Monica was great. Best of luck!

I know this is the best since I have 2 little ones at home and finding someone to watch them is hard....so this was a big plus for me!!!!
