Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a midwife they can recommend in the L.A. area (Westside)? I've tried UCLA Midwives but had a bad experience there, so I'm in the market again.

Hi! Are you looking for a homebirth midwife or a hospital midwife??

If homebirth, I would recommend Davi Kaur Khalsa - she provided me the most amazing, loving, skilled care. Her web address is www.tlcwomanscenter.com
I interviewed and have some knowledge of most of the LA area mws; I've never heard anything but praise about Davi.

We adore Shelly Girard and Seannie Gibson http://www.socalbirth.org They do homebirths, they're office is in Mt. Washington (near Griffith Park)

Thanks so much for the replies! I was actually thinking hospital midwife when i posted originally, and hadn't even thought about homebirth midwife. But i will look into that as well.

Any other recommendations are also welcome

(Also, just to clarify - the problem i had at UCLA wasn't with the midwives themselves, but with the support staff. Long story, but it was bad enough to make me not want to return)
