anyone out there used Sue Smith from Uxbridge, MA or Sherri Daigle, currently in Woodstock, CT but formerly practicing in Louisiana for her midwife before? I am trying to get some references so if you have used them and have any input, pls share. thx!

thanks doulamominma!
would you be willing to share more info as a mom that birthed with sue? did you have her assitstants at your birth? did you like them? what was your opinion of sue's philosophy - more medical model or more midwifery model?

just for any and everyone's ease of mind, i will state for the record that i KNOW i am only asking opinions and nothing more. no decision will be made strictly on someone's opinion of another person and none of it is legal matter. just two moms sharing some input.

i am very torn over who to use because i am really into the naturalist view that we were designed to do this easily and without unnecessary interference. i only want a midwife so i can eliminate the concern of "is the baby okay? heart rate is normal?" so i can labor and birth free of those nagging thoughts that prevade so many of our minds in this society where birth is viewed as a medical procedure laden with great risk and dangers.

so, if you would be willing to share more details of your experience, any and all, i would be so grateful. i am curious what you thought of her views on many things. i have an interview with her to make up my own mind, of course, just looking for another perspective to maybe bring up anything i haven't thought of yet that i want to ask about.

blessings to you! kate
