I am assuming the smell is from water getting into the grooves and seems-perhaps these weren't meant to get wet. GOt them at the thrift store and I love them-a wierd brand I have never seen elsewhere: Wolf Laurel?<br><br>
I tried putting them in the washing machine, but I think it made it worse!

Maybe try mixing uo some tea tree oil & water in a spray bottle, give them a good soak & leave them out in the sun to dry. TTO is supposed to be really good at fighting mold & mildew.<br><br>
And/or you could cover them w/baking soda & let them sit over night. BS gets out a lot of smells.
