Anyone have a problem with milk allergy? If so...what is it? Is it common? Sometimes I wonder if my baby becomes irritated by milk or dairy products. Sometimes he has a lot of gas...smelly gas too and doesn't sleep for very long periods. ??

My son is sensitive to dairy and soy proteins. My big indicator was bloody/mucousy poops and lots of screaming whenever I ate dairy or soy products. I'm not talking about normal cranky-baby screaming, I'm talking about OMG, waiting-for-his-head-to-spin-around kind of screaming.

my dd is allergic to dairy. crying, gassy, dry itchy skin, and diahrea. if you have any doubt, eliminate dairy from your diet for a week and see if you notice any change in your child. we have both been dairy free for 2 years now. although recently i have started letting her have small amounts of dairy like cheese flavored goldfish crackers and it doesn't seem to bother her. i buy everything soy: soy milk, soy cheese, soy sour cream, you name it. i do miss regular pizza and ice cream!

I've determined that when I consume milk proteins it gives my younger dd horrible weeping oozing eczema.
My older dd drinks lots of milk and has an almost constant runny nose. I've been working on her to stop drinking milk, but she loves it, and hates all substitutes. I just want to see if her nose will clear up. Any suggestions on how to wean a 6 year old off the cow?

Both my kids are dairy/soy intlerant and the baby is egg intolerant too. He also has reflux. Both of them have mild symptoms so it wasn't something extreme like blood in their stool. AJ gets really constipated and breaks out in a rash from dairy, he gets diarrhea and bad gas from soy (he used to have more symptoms, but this was all that showed in his last trial). Evan gets diarrhea, mucousy diapers, and bad reflux w/ dairy. He breaks out from soy. Eggs give him watery bowel movements. I have some great lists of things to avoid and things that are safe if you're interested in cutting out dairy.

I would try the vanilla flavors of anything and see if she'll go cold turkey. I really like vanilla almond personally, but my toddler drinks rice milk.
