For those of you with a Mini Shower, do you think one of those hoses you can attach to the bathtub faucet would work? The toilet and tub faucet are right next to each other in my bathroom.

Is the mini shower super powerful or something that would make it better than one of those hoses?

TIA

Are you talking about the shower heads that have the longer cords? I have a Water Pik shower head that has 6' of cording that I use to spray poopies. It is right next to our toilet as well. It works really well and serves a dual purpose

I didn't think of one of those. I was actually thinking of one of those that fit right onto the faucet...my grandma used to use hers to wash my hair in the kitchen sink.

Heck...maybe I won't even be able to find one of those anymore.

At our old house we had a removable showerhead. It (the tub) was right next to the toilet and worked fine to spray off poop. For some reason, I convinced myself that I needed a mini-shower (not sure why). I got a good deal on the TP just before we moved to a house without a removable showerhead. I can't say that the mini-shower is that big an improvement. It is a more powerful spray concentrated in a smaller area. Sometimes I hate how powerful it is. It is not very adjustable so it seems to either dribble out, or spray with such force that there is spray and potentially poop everywhere.

I think either would work, as would your grandma's hairwashing sprayer.

To be honest, dunking worked pretty well too (sometimes still does
: )

I think I have what you are talking about. It's rubber? You attach it to the tub faucet and it has a hose and shower head? I don't think that would work as well as the mini shower. It puts out a wider spray of water and is not powerful enough to spray off the poop very well. I have heard that Mrs. Bidet is a good alternative to the mini shower.

Thank you for your input, ladies.

I'll have to poke around and see what I find. I sort of suspected the minishower would have some super duper force behind it.

My diaper pail is in another room and I have to try not to drip on carpet if I dunk. And then there's the whole, "I thought you said you wouldn't have to dunk" remarks from my darrrrrling husband.

ETA: I suppose if I spray the poo off, I've still got dripping issues, eh? Hmm. Okay. So I really just want to keep my hands out of the toilet and shut my husband up. I admit it.

Maybe I should dunk my husband.

Why not move the diaper pail? I'm planning on keeping ours in the bathroom, next to the toilet, so dripping water won't be a problem. Of course this may add inconvenience, when the dipe is just a peed in dipe, but we'll see.

And I will freely discredit this suggestion by saying baby isn't here yet, I really don't know for sure how good an idea this is (probab;y won't matter until he's past newborn poops)... if this is really a bad idea, I won't be hurt if people say so!

My bathroom is too tiny for the diaper pail. There's no way we could do regular changes in there.

Of course, my house is such a disaster, there's no room for US in any of the rooms. The junk has taken over.

sweetfeet...If I can rassle him into the loo. I suppose once I've got my hands in the toilet I could just splash him if he says anything. LOL

well we got the mini shower...the blast was too much for me and I had to ring the dipe out with my hand. So we got a duck. But Ds has some crazy poops and they can be really sticky, the duck didn't have enough power...so our solution....put the dipe on the duck...spray it off and use the duck to wring it out .

My diaper pail is in another room as well. We have the same space issues, Chelle (and lots of junk too
). I have pretty good luck with wrapping the wet dipe up in the cover (we use mostly PUL wraps). I can carry the whole "package" back to dd's room without a drip. Unless your pail is [/I]immediately[/I] next to the toilet I think some contact with the yucky potty water is inevitable. The mini-shower is so powerful that the diaper ends up sopping wet. I really only use is for the sticky poops.

I just wash my hands really well afterwards!
