I apologize if there have already been threads on this subject. I did a Google search but the results never seem that great....I miss the MDC search feature! But anyway.

I ordered a JamTots Berry Plush dipe, and was wondering what the minkee on the snap-in soaker is like when your child wets. Is it considered a stay-dry lining like fleece? Or is it more of a soft surface (like organic velour) but not necessarily a medium that wicks away moisture?

Also, what's the best washing prep to get these diapers ready to wear? (The bulk of the soaker is hemp, right? Should the cover be washed & dried once, but the soaker washed several times before the first use?) Thanks!

It works great as a stay-dry liner! My mom (a total cd novice) told me one of the girls had a dry dipe, she had been asleep for 4 hours so I checked and since the minkee was all fluffy, she thought it was dry, but the hemp was soaked. I even use them as overnight dipes on my lighter wetters.
