Hi, I'm new to posting here. Is it too late to start planting in the Minneapolis area? It's been rainy and rather chilly here lately, but I have tomatoes I started inside and some other flowers - is it too late to plant a veggie garden here?

thanks!!

Too late? Actually the average last frost date is May 15th. You almost never put plants out before May 1st so you are doing great. I just planted sunflowers, beans and lettuce today. I used tomato plants because I get too impatient. Go forth and sow.

Hi,
St Louis Park mama here. Who can plant when it has rained every day since the 15th!! We're planting our usual tomatoes, jalapenos, bell peppers, onions and herbs this weekend. This is about the same time as every year and we usually end up with a great harvest.

Enjoy planting...hopefully not in the rain!
