so, I've had my IUD for about 3 weeks and my dr asked me to feel for the string ~ once a month. Well today, after some low abdominal discomfort, I thought I'd check.

So, I definitely felt them. but, can you feel them separately? I just felt what i thought was one string, but maybe they were put together and folded toward my cervix? Just wanted to be sure...

because mine have slipped inside my cervix on multiple occasions, I am constantly checking to see if they are out or in. The other night I felt the string was out but I too only felt one. I kept bending it back and forth (as much as you can bend that string in such a tight space! ) and I couldn't feel any seperation of the strings. So it wouldn't surprise me if there was only one sting out. What I'm hoping is that one sting being out is enought to make removal fast. I would definately : if they were both in. Someone described how they had to remove it if both are in and it is definately scary stuff! Ok, I think i've said to much, so I'll stop now
