My period came back when my dd was 19 months, in Jan. Jan, Feb and March were all normal. 7 day flow and about 28 day cycle, just like it has always been. Im at about 35 days now with no period. I took a test and it had a very faint neg. Could this be because of dd nursing? She nurses about 6-10 times a day and just as much at night. Although last night she only nursed twice, it was great! Has anyone had their period come back just to stop again? Im at a loss.

I had a regular period and then mine was delayed a couple weeks before coming back normal again. It was around the holidays and we were traveling. Could be caused by stress or other things going on in your life too.

I'm late right now and wondering the same thing...especially since DH had a vasectomy two years ago...so my chances should be slim to none, but I still am not used to not getting a period once they start up UNLESS I'm preggo. None of my other two nurslings caused my period to stop, but maybe the twins nurse more than a singleton did and can cause ovulation to halt again?

And then I have to decide if I spend the $7 on a test, or wait until 6 weeks for the familiar nausea...and if it doesn't come assume I'm not pregnant?

I've had this happen to me now a few times. DS is now just shy of 3 years. I skipped periods in the first few months after it originally came back at 13 months. I didn't bother to test then. I've also missed another period after an increase in nursing due to illness at approx 2.5years. (I did test then and it was negative). The next month I've had my period as normal.

When my period came back, my first few cycles were 35 days. Then it was 42 days, 24 days, 55 days, and then I got pregnant! So my experience was that it can vary widely... I've read that while you're still nursing, "anything goes." it is very frustrating cause you don't actually know if your period is late!

My first PP af was when DD was 19 mos. My cycles were all over the place! I've only been back to my "normal" cycles for about 3-4 months. And still wondering at times if I'm ovulating.
