DD is just over 6 months old and had discovered the joys of crawling and pulling herself up on furniture BUT now she won't take a nap. She used to nap around 4-5 hours a day and now it is more like 2 hours a day. Did this happen to you and will she go back to napping? I know she is exhausted but she just keeps on going, though she is cranky. I am sure this is normal but I want nap time back<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

It will get better. It always does after they acclimate to a new milestone. But, I also should note that she's getting to the age where napping lessens and solidifies. By 6 months, my boys were down to twice a day, 60-90 minutes a pop.

We had the same situation, except ds was closer to 4m at the time. Really, now the only way he naps is in the wrap, in the carseat, or in arms (or cosleeping if I nap with him). I remember from dd that it got a bit better once she was walking. Then she was much more tired for her one long nap of the day.
