Just for fun, I wanted to see how common they are! My son has many. He has one huge one on his forehead shaped like a V, he has a small one on each eyelid, he has one big one on the back of his head and some spots on the back of his neck. He's also got a small red dot on one thigh, and a light brown patch on the other.<br><br>
He came out decorated! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> The doctor said the one on his forehead would fade, and it has, but it gets really red if he's playing real hard or laughing or yelling <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I have one myself (back of my head and neck), and both my girls have the same one. Actually, most of my family does...lol

ds has one on the back of his head and the v in between his eyes(they called this one an angel's kiss...) so his was hit both coming and going, too :LOL<br>
his angel's kiss still shows up when he's doing something strenuous. it's like a warning light...careful, he might explode!!!!!!<br><br>
dd has little ones on the back of her head as well as on the top part of the back of her left ear...would this be from an agel's <i>reprimand</i>!??jk of course...they're totally ap in heaven... :LOL

Jett has one on his forehead, between his eyebrows that has faded a lot and has one that's still pretty dark on the back, in the nape of his neck.

My ds has one on his forehead that is reminiscent of "the hand of Saruman" from the movie the Lord of the Rings. Only his is red, not white. He's also got one on the back of his head.. looks like a blob than anything distinguishable.

ds has a small patch of red on his right eye and some on the back of his neck. i wonder who thought of saying the stork brought the baby. i am glad the stork does not bring the baby. i wouldn't trade his birth for anything in the world.

I have them and ds has them. Between the eyes and at the nape of the neck, buried under hair but visible if I wear a ponytail. the dr's told my parents they would fade by the time iwas four, but that was more than twenty years ago that I passed four :LOL<br><br>
The one between my eyes gets blue if i'm cold, red if I'm mad, and a purply red if i cry. Ds's just stays red

DS has/had a 'V' on his eyelid. I haven't seen it in a while so maybe it went away. It used to turn bright red when he was upset.

My son has one at the nape of his neck. I'd completely forgotten about it (he's 7 next month) until he got his hair cut really short last month and there it was.<br><br>

All four of my children have stork bites. My oldest two use the one on Marshalls nose to tell him apart from his twin brother Luke. Luke has one in his hair and on his neck.

My DD (8 weeks old) has the classic stork bite version: V on her forehead and another spot on the back of her head/neck area. I think they most always occur as this pair combo... You really can't see the V on her forehead easily unless she strains or is angry. I was told it would fade by age 2. We'll see... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> She also has a red patch on one of her eyelids...<br><br>

My Dd has one at the nape of her neck, I think that it will be covered by her hair (once she gets some more). It is not that red unless she is upset or playing/crawling hard<br>
She also has some red on one eyelid.. but no others that I can see..

Rozzie has the V on her forehead, one on the nape of her neck, and one on each eyelid. They have faded since birth but I still think it makes her look like she's wearing eyeshadow.

My ds has ared heart on his right butt cheek, just like a CareBear! :LOL<br>
He is 4.5 and it has not faded!<br>
He also had/has? a stork bite on the crown of his head that redened when he cried.

My two babies have them between their eyes/forehead area. I thought they looked more like hearts..<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/headscratch.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="headscratch"> but after reading the pp's about it being a V...i guess they could be V's.<br>

My daughter has three - one at the nape of her neck and one on each eyelid. She's 12 months old now and they have all faded quite a bit. But the ones on her eyelids do "flare up" when she's angry.

Both of my children have a red mark at the base of their skull in the back (very top of neck), and my son has some red marks on the back of his head. The redness on the neck comes from my DH, MIL, and GFIL. I think it must be genetic, huh?
