Hi, my name is Karla and I have a unvaccinated 14month old son. I guess I am posting this because I feel like the only MoM in my county who prefers to lead their child on a path way to great health.....every other mom I come in contact with just doesnt get it and I am having a hard time relating to "conventional" thoughts and ways. I guess what I am trying to say is ARE THERE ANY OTHER PEOPLE LIKE ME OUT THERE IN MONMOUTH COUNTY??? And would be willing to share progressive alternative views and lifestyles and possibly even playdates with babes around the same age? Look forward to hearing from you soon...eMAIL AT [email protected]

A day at a park would be great. I have a high energy 4 year old so I am at a park even in the coldest winter day. I find shark River easier to keep track of different age children. I have a 22 month ds as well asmy 4 yearold ds.
hi all,
I'm in northern ocean cty near the monmouth border. I can relate, it feels like there's no one like me around here. Can I join your park day? I have a 4yo who could use some outside time.
Joining in kinda late on this thread, but I'm in Monmouth County too!! ...although a bit north in Holmdel... I'd love to connect with moms of other toddlers. I have an 11 mo DS.

Anyone in HMN? Their Fri. night meetings at WFM are at a tough time for me, but I'd love to find out more about the group - and other HMN gatherings besides the meetings.

Isn't there a really nice park over in/near Holmdel? Deep Cut or something like that? I'm willing to drive up My daughter just turned one and we're looking to get outside a bit more now that it's spring!

Homdel Park is very nice. It also has a working old fashion farm. You can see sheep, pigs and sometimes milk a cow. It also has a snack area .
Thursday's weather sounds nice -- mostly sunny in the lower 60's. Anyone want to go Thursday?

We have *many* great county parks by us - Holmdel Park is wonderful - I've not yet been through Longstreet Farm (the working farm with the animals) - we usually just visit the sheep by the fence. Thompson Park is beautiful too; Tatum has a nice playground and some good trails; Deep Cut is really nice, but not dog friendly so we don't really go there much.

What time Thursday? I can't guarantee we can make it, but I can try...

I've been to the farm part. It was really nice. It was muddy last time we went so I recommend old shoes but then again we haven't had much rain lately. I'd like to try to make it on Thursday too.
Cool! So, Holmdel Park on Thursday

DD and I are up at 6:30 these days : but she usually takes a long morning nap. So, I can do sometime around 11am or so or maybe after lunch 1 or 2pm?

What's best for everyone else?
