My oldest (9 yo) has expressed an interest in doing more Montessori work. I was considering buying this for her age-it is inexpensive. I just haven't seen ANY reviews of it anywhere. Is it good/useful/unnecessary? I am due in November and I know I have most of the album material somewhere or can find it online with some searching, but it seems easier to just get it in one place with the price what it is. I also don't know whether to get the math for 5-9 & language parts for 5-9 seperately so I have more materials to work with my other two elementary age kids as well.

My back up option is the Montessori for Everyone Comprehensive List of Concepts & Materials for 6-9 (or 9-12 I'm unsure of which one would be best for her age).

Anyone? Any info at all?

I haven't used either ... so I can't offer a review.

We do incorporate Montessori into our homeschooling though. I use the New Child Montessori guides. I use them as guides, and don't follow to the letter - which give us some freedom. But they were much more expensive than either of those other options.

I like the free downloads on the "montessori for everyone" site and bookmarked it.

Good luck! Hopefully you'll get some good info!

I had the New Child guides and sold them. They were too "daily" for me which didn't work and the age range was too young for what I needed at the time. Wish they made older guides!

I love Lori at Montessori for Everyone. Montessori is a little ""labor intensive" even with Lori's stuff as you print, cut, laminate (if you want) etc. I spent a year making my mateirals...but hers are wonderful and she is amazing so go for it!
